Dr. Mark Abdoney

Dr. Abdoney is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science in 1992 and his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1996. He completed his periodontal residency at Nova Southeastern University in 2000. That same year, he received the Award of Periodontal Excellence in 2000 from the NSU Department of Periodontics.

Since graduating, Dr. Abdoney has been actively involved in the field of dentistry. He has had multiple board positions including serving as president in many local/regional organizations like the Hillsborough County Dental Association, Hillsborough County Periodontal Association, Florida Association of Periodontists, Southern Academy of Periodontology, and many more. Along with these organizations, Dr. Abdoney has maintained a close association to the University of Florida as a current Associate Clinical Professor and in frequently working with their Department of Pathology regarding a majority of patient biopsies.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Abdoney is spending time with his wife and four daughters and his extended family who have remained close to the Tampa area. He is also a member of the Rotary Club, consistent with his hope of improving the health and education of not only his own patients but the community at large.
